30 Hanson Street #1, South End, Boston 02118

From the south on I-93:
Take 93 north to the E. Berkeley St. exit (exit 19?). Turn left at the light, passing under the highway, and continue through the next light past the Mobil station. At the fourth light after the Mobil station, turn left on Tremont. Hanson will be the 3rd real street on the left (not counting the alley immediately after E. Berkeley).
From the north on I-93:
Take 93 south through downtown Boston and into the South Station tunnel. Immediately upon exiting the tunnel, take exit 20, Albany Street. Stay left at the fork, following signs for local traffic (rather than getting on the Mass Pike). At the second light, turn right on East Berkeley at the Mobil station. At the fourth light, turn left on Tremont. Hanson will be the 3rd real street on the left (not counting the alley immediately after E. Berkeley).
From I-90:
Take the Copley/Prudential exit and stay to the right, following signs to Copley. Come out of the tunnel and turn right on Dartmouth Street at the light. Continue straight down Dartmouth through lights at Columbus Ave. and Warren Ave. Turn left at the next light on Tremont. Go through the next light (Clarendon Street on your left). Hanson will be the second street on your right (the first one is almost directly across from Clarendon, immediately after the light.) Turn right on Hanson. Number 30 is on your right, next to the third streetlight.
From Cambridge:
Take Storrow Drive to the Back Bay exit, which turns into Clarendon Street. Take Clarendon through the Back Bay until it ends at Tremont. Turn left. Hanson is the second street on your right (the first one is almost directly across from Clarendon.) Turn right on Hanson. Number 30 is on your right, next to the third streetlight.
From the T:
Take the orange line to Back Bay station. Inside the station, follow signs to the Clarendon Street exit. When you come up onto the street, you should see the neon lights across the street above the station. Turn left on Clarendon. Cross Columbus Avenue at the light and continue walking until the next traffic light at Tremont Street. Cross Tremont and turn left. Immediately cross Waltham Street and take your next right onto Hanson. We are on the right about a third of the way down. It’s about a 7-10 minute walk from Back Bay Station.
If the orange line is inconvenient, you can also take the green line to Copley, and walk down Clarendon or Dartmouth (heading towards Boylston Street, away from the river), following directions above. It will take 15-20 minutes to reach 30 Hanson. Both of these walks are safe at night.
Parking:
Parking in the South End is pretty tight. There are metered spaces on Tremont, which are of course free after 6 pm and on Sundays and holidays. There are also free visitor spaces on Shawmut Ave, which runs parallel to Tremont at the end of Hanson; at the Shawmut end of Hanson and parallel streets; and on the portions of Waltham and Bradford Streets just on the other side of Shawmut. There are also metered spaces on Washington Street, one block south of Shawmut.
Note: arrows shown on Waltham Street between Tremont and Shawmut
should point in the opposite direction, traveling towards Shawmut.
